Amanda is an excellent teacher and helped me bring out the best in my novel, One Scheme of Happiness.
I agree that kindness is one of the most important aspects of how we interact with everyone we meet. For about a year I’ve been practising Nichiren Buddhism which is based on respecting the dignity of every individual life… it’s spiritual rather than religious. One fundamental belief is that the Buddha is not ‘out there’, distant from us, but that we each have the potential to become Buddha-like in the way we live our lives.
I loved this interview! Amanda’s perspective that we’re all spiritual beings having a human experience is one I share. Too many things point to that. Great questions, Ta!
The book "The Seat of the Soul" by Gary Zukav really made me see the world this way. I was in my 20s when I first read it and it was life-changing in that it was a fundamental shift for me when interacting with other people. I should read it again to see if I still feel the same. Love that you talked about this viewpoint!
I’ve not come across that book. Will be interesting for you to read it again and see how it resonates with you now. One of the teachers I have learned loads from about this is Rupert Spira and I have watched loads of his talks about it. Nice to connect with you over this!
I’ll bet you not only will feel the same, I think you’ll see even deeper connection and resonance. I finished my own second read of it a couple months ago!

Hi Sandra, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! And yes, so many things point to that being the truth if you take the time to notice them.

Ok, I just moved it up on my reading list. Thanks so much for telling me this!
Things remain uncanny. Right down to the Pierre Tielhard de Chardin quote and your personal philosophy.
It’s now almost spooky.
Sounds like words resonated Kert. Thanks for joining us here and sharing your experience.
It’s been spooky for ages!
