Look at time a different way, it makes all the difference
Plus, one life-changing tip to make way for a calmer day-to-day.
Time will treat you as you treat it:
As defined in Ancient Greek, time comes in two forms; Kairos and Chronos.
Chronos is the time on the clock. It is quantitative, measured as is the cycles of the moon and our weeks and years.
Whereas Kairos time is about perception. It refers to the change of how Chronos time feels in relation to the moment you are in. As when in pain a minute feels like an hour, but when you’re having fun, a minute is barely noticeable.
Time is all any of us really has and none of us knows how much of it we have. This is what makes hacks and hints and tips so addictive. We want to ‘save’ time by getting things done faster.
We don’t think Kairos has much impact but it actually governs how our Chronos time will feel in our life and in this way, paying attention to it can be the key to unlocking the life you want for yourself.
In Kairos time,
if you rush around, always late, always feeling out of time, you will be so,
but, if you can find a way to slow down and take your time, you will feel like you have more time.
Your perception is how you EXPERIENCE your life. It is how you FEEL ABOUT YOUR LIFE.
What you can do to slow down your perception of time is to slow down. It sounds too simple but do it for a day and tell me how it felt. I have tried it and was amazed how my anxiety reduced, and how much more calm and centred I felt.
Tell yourself that nothing is a rush, you will get it done in time. If you are a little bit late, so be it, it really isn’t that big of a deal. You cannot miss what is meant for you. Take the time to plan and then go about knowing that there is plenty of time to do all that matters.
This sounds too easy to be so impactful but it is and why I hope you try it out for only a day. You have nothing to lose and a life of more time to gain.
Please try and share your experiences and any tips in doing so others can benefit from to as they practice.
